Mumbai: Half-yearly and yearly railway passes are here
From April 1, local train commuters will have the option of buying half yearly and yearly railway passes. From today, long-distance train tickets and Tatkal tickets will also cost more.
If a second-class monthly season pass between Churchgate and Virar costs Rs.280, for the six-month pass you will have pay Rs.1,540 and for the yearly pass, Rs.3,080.
A senior Central Railway official said the move would help reduce queues at ticket windows.
